These words are constantly flowing,
Around matters out of my concern,
Yet they somehow seem to involve me,
But why me I’m still yet to learn.
And no one knows the point of creation,
But everybody shares the same lie.
And though they spawn for no rhyme or reason.
They’re set in stone so that you can’t deny.
And now when you leave my side, you won’t be leaving me.
You’re believing all the lies you’re told to be true.
Quick tongue, like a serpent with it’s tongue in your ear,
Lying to you.
Dilapidating thoughts dwell inside me,
Those of love and honour and pride,
I start to wonder what the world has come to,
No one around in whom to confide.
Society is gradually crumbling,
Into a land of gossip and lies;
A place where nobody smiles and,
No one laughs and nobody tries.
And now when you leave my side, you won’t be leaving me.
